I am retaking character art. I made her so I could recall all my tools and techniques since my current day job is all hard surface environment art (everything under NDA)
In this project I used metahuman geometry wrapped around one of the base meshes I made years ago and continued sculpting the rest. The purpose of wrapping was to get its fantastic topology and be able to use the metahuman rig, meaning she is a fully custom metahuman from head to toe without me having to be involved rigging her myself. The armor was retopologized in Topogun with further unwrap in Maya.
Bakes and textures for body and armor were done in Substance Painter following my old stylized workflow using grayscale values and building the PBR material on top of that.
I did not model the rifle and gun but I did texture then in Substance.
She has full facial motion.
Grooms are from the presets in Metahuman Creator.
